As we walked along the Bruhl Terrace with its lovely view of the Elbe River and countryside, we chanced upon this outdoor restaurant with tables and chairs, so we decided to stop for a beer. Actually, we discovered that the restaurant has three floors and is accessible at street level below as well.

Pleasant atmosphere and good food to go with the great beer. In addition, an extremely friendly staff. The system is a bit narrow.

On the roof terrace you can sit comfortably in good weather and enjoy the delicious Zwickelbier. The staff is friendly and quick.

This little place with a roof terrace is so cute. Here I got the best Saxon sauerbraten ever. The egg pancake was also melted away ... Reservations are advisable. The roof terrace was packed. Believe every dish is more than recommendable. Very nice service too.

Excellent view and service on the banks of the river and behind the historic center. The food is very rich and plentiful and in line with what you would expect considering the location.

The portion is great, however, a bit pricey. I applaud the customer service and the vintage atmosphere. The quality of the food is 5 star for sure. I’m not a fan of German food, but when I do come across a restaurant that offers taste-worthy food; I will give it a positive review. The photo of the Goulash is not really attractive, but trust me I cleaned that plate to it’s last drop. The dishes taste more distinctive, almost as if it was Czech.

From our point of view, a detour there is absolutely to be recommended. The waiters are always very hard working and binding throughout! The restaurant is really enormously stylishly furnished. No cheap decoration, instead everything was very nicely coordinated. What I can really advocate are the desserts. My siblings and I have now been there for the third time and have tested a little something new with every visit.

Restaurant with - let's say - special flair. I feel like I'm in a closet with several floors. Granted a big one. There is something different / new on each floor. I find it funny and pleasant. If you sit at the counter, at least no other guests are annoying and pushing in the back. Service is fast, friendly and has an open ear for little anecdotes ???. Last but not least, the beer. Neatly tapped and delicious ? ? ?.

My group and I had a delicious meal here. The prices were a little bit touristy, but not overly much, and I cannot claim that they have the best Deutsche Küche in the area, which they do not. However, they do have accommodating & reasonably friendly staff. If you eat up top on the observation deck, or with a large group, you can expect your food orders to take longer than if you're with a small group, but this is really no different from any other restaurant you visit with a large group. The main reason I give this place 5 stars instead of 4, is indeed the observation deck. The beautiful view of the Elbe and Brühl's Terrace makes this place very desirable. On the down side, they did give me a little bit of jazz on the phone about having to move our reservation time back an hour due to factors beyond my control (traffic along the route from the previous city we had been visiting).

Enjoy this place, reasonably priced. Enjoy the atmosphere here and the food is always well prepared and tasty. The staff were really wonderful, my sis and I were happy using their advice. We had been presented to the table right away without waiting around. We really enjoyed our meal here and would undoubtedly recommend it.

We came to this pub as it reminded us of another pub in La. The barmaid was nice to start with. We asked her about the different beers and she explained we decided to try the 2 different types. She then instead of serving us went to clear some glasses from a table at the side of the bar and continued to have a full blown conversation with the customers sitting there for 10mins ignoring us and the other customers waiting at the bar!!! We were just gob smacked at her lack of professionalism. I had to say to her on Google translate I'm dying of thirst here to get her attention to get a drink she seemed embarrassed and rushed back to the bar to serve us and she saw the queue of people waiting to be served... The customers she was talking to started to abuse us and say when in Germany speak German we are not her boss to tell her what to do.we have no right to interrupt her. We said no we are customers and if she carries on behaving like she has she will have no more customers as they will leave!! These women got more abusive and one of them who was an old lady proceeded to attack me and knock me hat off and came to slap me!!!! I was in shock as to what had happened all because of the barmaid not doing her job!!!! Other customers didn't get involved and just sat there which made us think this was normal behaviour in this bar. The barmaid never got involved nor did she apologise she just pretended to be busy and do the job she should have been doing in the first place.i agree with the previous reviewer no respect for non German speaking customers. Zero German efficiency that is what the Germans pride themselves on. Racist and abusive people... visit this establishment at your own peril....

Terrible service, waitress can’t speak English and behaves like you are her unwanted guests. Very plain food, beer ok. Prices way too high.

You basically pay for the view here (quite a high price). The food is so-so, especially I had a feeling that potatoes were not freshly cooked, but just made warm... The service is weird... I would not come back to this place

Very nice restaurant. It is very narrow but tall, with several floors, as it is located near the road right on the shore, as if it were built into the wall. On the ground floor there is one entrance and a bar, on the second tables, and the third is on the roof and this is the level of the square that was near it, from which you can also enter the restaurant. There are also tables with umbrellas on this floor. This restaurant has a menu in several languages. The main dishes, desserts and drinks that we ordered we really good and the portions were with quite good size. The prices are not bad. So I can highly recommend this restaurant for visiting in that area.

Nice restaurant, with different levels, but the best one is the superior level, like a terrace, with a great view on the river Elb. Daily menu. Good and tasteful food, better service, and great experience.

Excellent service and stunning scenery

With the best view of the Elbe (Schlauberger meant that is the Spree ?) you get here by nice competent friendly staff delicious Radeberger Pils and top class food served. The food is so great that even the eye lingers for a moment. We felt very comfortable here and the two evenings in a row. We did not bother to go to another restaurant, because here we felt as a guest princely. Also inside you did not save on the atmosphere. Gorgeous !!! It is worth to stop here ......

Spezialausschank sounds good and actually, there is Radeberger Zwickelbier, naturally cloudy, with a little less carbonated and quite tasty. You can not buy it in bottles anywhere. However, you can buy 2 liters in a flip-top bottle for 22 €. The Zwickelbier tastes very good, just right at 31 ° Celsius. I ate a small portion of Saxon Sauerbraten. Delicious. Bye for now!

Located near the center. Large room. Two floors. Prices are above average. The food is delicious, Pilsner beer. You can pay by card or in cash. The service is terrible. When we entered, 2 tables were occupied. When asked to come to us, they mumbled in German. And then they came to us after 15 minutes of waiting. And again they began to mumble that they had seen us and should not call them (this was already said in English).

Food is great here. Atmosphere is great espicially by the river front.

Cozy place ,hidden under castle and not touristic at least in this season. The food was delicious and big portions , they have a good beer and friendly staffs. You have a good chance to look at bridge and River when you sit your table. Cool atmosphere and recommended

The food is tasty enough BUT the service was just awful. They almost pulled us outside because they had a reservation without informing us for this before sitting. I have never seen such a rude waitress. Very disappointing because in general the restaurant was very good.
